As part of its strategic efforts to strengthen scientific research, LGU initiated a high-level academic and research collaboration with the Lebanese University.

Within this framework, an official academic visit was organised to AZM Center for Biotechnology Research, associated with the Doctoral School of Science and Technology at The Lebanese University.

The visit was led by Prof. Chady Moussallem, Coordinator of Research and Head of Academic Development at LGU.

The LGU delegation included Dr. Charles Khalifeh, Head of the Physical Therapy Department (undergraduate studies); Dr. Ricardo Hayek, University Instructor in the Physical Therapy Department; Dr. Jessica Rayess, Head of the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department; and Dr. Lama Bou Farah, Head of the Biomedical Technologies Department.

The meeting with Prof. Mohammad Khalil, Director of the AZM Center, involved in-depth discussions on research capacities, strategic directions, and opportunities for collaboration.

The visit featured presentations of ongoing research activities, laboratory tours, and exchanges with laboratory heads, highlighting advanced research infrastructure, scientific expertise, and strong potential for interdisciplinary collaboration.
