Athletics & Recreation

LGU Sports and Recreation Office is dedicated to fostering a healthy and active student body. Each academic year, we recruit and train talented student-athletes to represent our university in inter-universities competitions.

Our official sports teams compete in a variety of sports, including football, mini football, futsal, basketball, chess, pool, and shooting.

Beyond inter-universities tournaments, we encourage friendly rivalries through inter-faculty competitions to build camaraderie and promote social bonding.

As the chair of the organizational committee for pool and shooting tournaments under the Lebanese Universities Sports Federation, LGU Sports and Recreation Office annually hosts the Lebanese Universities Shooting Championship.

This prestigious event, held under the auspices of the Lebanese Universities Sports League, features over 20 participants from various Lebanese universities competing for the coveted "Nasri Jamil Lahoud Cup" at the Lebanese Army Shooting Club.

Another highlight is the Lebanese Universities Pool Championship, held at LGU premises. This tournament attracts participation from over 18 Lebanese universities, showcasing the talent and skill of pool players from various universities.

Our on-campus gym and diverse fitness courses provide opportunities for all students to prioritize their well-being.
