Professor Samir F. Matar, President of the Lebanese University and member of the Center for Intensive Numerical Modeling (CNIM) at the Lebanese German University, has his latest scientific publication featured in Progress in Solid State Chemistry, an international scientific journal published by Elsevier:
“Influence of Oxygen and Fluorine Electron Lone Pairs on the Crystal Architectures of XeO₃E and SeOF₂E: Steric Effects, Electron Topology, and Crystal-Chemical Insights.”
This work is the result of an international collaboration with Alicia Castro (CSIC, Spain) and Jean Galy (Université de Bordeaux, France).
The study provides key insights into how electron lone pairs influence crystal structures and material properties in solid-state chemistry.
