The Medical Laboratory Sciences Department at LGU hosted a seminar on forensic science in partnership with Alathea Academy presented by forensic scientist and researcher Mr. Ihab Nasser.
The session explored the fundamental disciplines and techniques of forensic science, highlighting how fingerprint analysis, crime scene investigation, and scientific evidence examination contribute to uncovering facts and supporting the pursuit of justice.
Participants gained insights into the practical applications of forensic science and the critical role of evidence analysis in criminal investigations.
The seminar welcomed students from the Faculty of Public Health, members of the Lebanese Civil Defense, and guests from the Medical Laboratory Sciences field, fostering knowledge exchange and engagement between academic and professional communities.
Following the seminar, distinguished guests met with LGU President Prof. Samir Matar, Vice-President Dr. Marianne Haddad Adaimi and head of the medical laboratory sciences department Dr. Jessica Rayess for an exchange that highlighted the importance of academic collaboration, professional engagement, and strengthening connections between the university and experts in the field.
