The Department of Biomedical Technologies at the Lebanese German University – LGU organized, in collaboration with FUSE Department at Kassel University and the Control Chapter of IEEE Lebanon section, a seminar entitled “Design of Safety Systems in Engineering Domains” on Wednesday April 19th 2017.

Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. Josef Börcsök, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Head of the Department of Computer Architecture and System Programming at KASSEL University started the seminar with a talk on Electronic Safety Systms, Dr. -Ing. Ali Hayek, Chair for the Department of Computer Architecture and System Programming at KASSEL University discussed Miniaturized On-Chip Safety Systems and Dr. -Ing. Roy Abi Zeid Daou, Head of the Department of Biomedical Technologies at LGU spoke about Safety Systems in Biomedical technologies.

At the end, Dr. Börcsök and Dr. Hayek met with LGU Biomedical students and launched the MS in Safety System Engineering, an international master’s program jointly prepared by Kassel University and LGU, and which will start enrolling students next semester.
