“How to program Arduino and Raspberry Pi”
The Department of Biomedical Technologies organized a workshop entitled “How to program Arduino and Raspberry Pi” between April 23 and 27, 2018.
Instructors from Kassel University and from the Lebanese German University guided the students to help them program their first applications using both microcontrollers.
The practical part concentrated on the use of several sensors, mainly the one applied for medical purposes, whereas the theoretical part explained the main tools and modules included in each microcontroller.
At the end, every participant received a certificate of participation. (read more)

Biomedical Technologies Department Achievement
Another achievement for LGU’s Biomedical Technologies Department. Congratulations to Joseph KHATTAR and Carla ZEINE for having their paper “Implementation of a Monitoring System that Notifies Healthcare Providers of a Sudden Medical Emergency Occurring to a Driver” accepted in a book entitled “Vital Signs: an Overview”. The book is edited by Dr. Roy ABI ZEID DAOU, Head of the Biomedical Technologies Department at LGU, and Professor Josef BOERCSOK, Chairperson of the Computer Architecture and System Programming Department at Kassel University. The book is published by Nova Science Publishers.
