Inaugural Lecture
The Lebanese German University organized an Inaugural Lecture delivered by Mr. Alexis Loeber, Head of EU Cooperation and Delegation Section, on Thursday 6th November, 2014.
Mr. Loeber discussed Lebanon’s partnership with the European Union through which the EU provides support to civil society and human rights, the independence of the judiciary, electoral reform, the security sector, penitentiary reform, border management and administrative reform. The EU also aims to protect and empower women, youths and children, victims of torture, migrant workers and refugees in every region of Lebanon.(read more)

Biomedical Technologies Department Achievement
Another achievement for LGU’s Biomedical Technologies Department. Congratulations to Joseph KHATTAR and Carla ZEINE for having their paper “Implementation of a Monitoring System that Notifies Healthcare Providers of a Sudden Medical Emergency Occurring to a Driver” accepted in a book entitled “Vital Signs: an Overview”. The book is edited by Dr. Roy ABI ZEID DAOU, Head of the Biomedical Technologies Department at LGU, and Professor Josef BOERCSOK, Chairperson of the Computer Architecture and System Programming Department at Kassel University. The book is published by Nova Science Publishers.
