Christmas for needy children at LGU
In line with its spirit of cooperation and social contribution and in collaboration with LGU Campus Lions Club, the Lebanese German University organized, for the third year running, its Christmas event on its campus in Sahel Alma on December 23, 2011. Over 120 children aged 5 to 10 were invited to celebrate the occasion. The children came from various official schools to participate in different activities prepared for them by members of LGU Campus Lions Club and LGU students. The children spent over four hours enjoying Christmas songs, drawing, dancing, games, Disney characters, clowns, and taking pictures with Santa. They also enjoyed their lunchbox before receiving their Christmas presents. LGU administration congratulated its students, faculty, and staff for making this event a success and Christmas an occasion to instill a spirit of compassion among its students. Father Hanna Awad talked about the true meaning of Christmas and the need to share love and happiness with all children. He also expressed his best wishes for all hoping similar endeavors will bring happiness into the hearts of the less fortunate wherever they are. (photos attached)
