LGU hosts little children for Christmas 2013
In line with its extra-curricular activities undertaken throughout the year and for the sixth year running, the Lebanese German University organized its 2013 Christmas event at LGU Campus on December 19, 2013. Over 120 children aged 5 to 10 were invited to celebrate the occasion. The children came from two regional boarding schools to take part in the different activities prepared for them by the administrative staff and LGU students. The event started with a historical account of the nativity related by Father Johnny Rahi in a slide show. The children then spent over four hours enjoying Christmas songs, doing some face painting, and playing various games prepared for them by LGU staff and students before welcoming Father Santa for gift distribution. They also enjoyed their lunch and the pictures taken with Santa Claus. LGU administration and staff were later congratulated on the success of the event and also praised for making Christmas an occasion to instill a spirit of compassion among its students towards the less fortunate.
