World Insights
In line with the academic activities organized by the Lebanese German University, students in the Faculty of Business and Insurance held a marketing and cultural event entitled “World Insights” on Friday 23 January 2015, at its campus in Sahel Alma.
The event that was organized under the supervision of Dr. Naji Sfeir attracted guests from all sectors including representatives of commercial and industrial businesses, diplomatic figures, and academic staff as well as the students’ relatives and friends.
The students teamed up in 11 groups to create booths for the participating countries that displayed their traditional dishes and typical industrial products. In this respect, the Chinese booth represented a typical Chinese temple that was constructed following instructions provided by the Chinese cultural attaché who was pleased with the students’ enthusiasm and efforts. The Lebanese booth featured typical Lebanese dishes and the traditional Lebanese zaffé. On the other hand, the Italian booth treated the guests to delicious Italian meals and entertained them with charming tunes played by saxophonist Toni Boutros. Guests were also charmed by the fascinating voice of Miss Cheryl Khairallah.
The event ended with the distribution of awards to the winning teams and Jordan being awarded 1st prize for receiving the highest number of votes.
