As usually, the traditional Christmas event at LGU is a very special event that all students, staff, and faculty members take part in adding to the occasion joy, fun, and … a beautiful Christmas spirit.
In line with its social responsibility activities, LGU targeted “Karyat Mariam and other families in need” this Christmas. In fact, we organized an enormous campaign at university to help make this year’s event a very successful one.
We visited Karyat Mariam on Monday 19 December to help children feel the Christmas spirit. We distributed food provisions and Christmas gifts to 37 children and prepared different activities to entertain the little ones who spent over two hours singing and dancing.
On Wednesday 21 December, staff and students also visited more than 10 different families and supplied them with food provisions and Christmas logs wishing them the best for the holidays.
Such activities promote a sense of social awareness among all LGU teams and students towards the environment and the community as a whole and help instill a spirit of compassion towards the less fortunate during this holiday season.
