In view of preparing its students for job market competition and get them stimulated to deliver their best to meet the market needs by promoting team work and cooperation, LGU organized a student competition in order o expose the University and its students to the business community. In fact, students at LGU Tyre had two projects for the “Entrepreneurship and Small Business” course evaluated on May 31, 2017. They competed before a jury made up of 5 members (1 from LGU and 4 guest members) with their projects: “Berry’s Day” which involved establishing a home birthday event-planning start-up and “iClinic” which involved establishing a gymnasium center that also provides health consultation and healthy food supplies. The event was moderated by Dr. Pierre AL-KHOURY, LGU Vice President for Development.
Following deliberation, the jury selected Berry’s Day based on eight criteria evaluating the project itself and the students’ performance during the presentation.
