The Faculty of Education and Arts at the Lebanese German University – LGU organized a conference on issues relating to teaching today’s students.
The conference that was held on Tuesday 26th March was attended by students, teachers, and a host of people working in the education field. Guest speakers and psycho-analytical therapists, Martine Abou Zeid and Rita Jreijiri, elaborated on the difficulties faced by teachers in the 21st century and their ability to manage stress through transactional analysis.
During an active workshop, many recommendations on how a student-teacher rapport could be established were provided.
Dr. Faouzi Adaimi, President of the Lebanese German University, reminded the audience of the pleasure of teaching and the personal, social, and cultural impact it makes on individuals and communities. He stressed that the importance of teaching lies not only in the ability to pass on knowledge but also in the skills of living together and building a future.
